Oliver J Private Blood

Terms, in plain English.

Last updated October 2026

These terms cover your use of this website and the private blood-testing services provided by Oliver J Private Blood at 1428 London Road, Leigh-on-Sea.

Our service is informational

Private blood testing gives you information about your health. Your report includes a doctor’s review and comments, but it is not a medical consultation, a diagnosis, or a substitute for seeing your GP, especially if you feel unwell. If anything in your report needs attention, it is written so you can take it straight to your doctor.

Never use our service in an emergency. Call 999 or NHS 111 instead.

Appointments & pricing

  • Prices for all 37 tests are shown on this website in pounds sterling and include laboratory analysis and your doctor-reviewed report. A £25 blood draw fee is added once per visit, however many tests you book.
  • When you book online you can pay by card, and we may also offer pay at the clinic or bank transfer. Card bookings are confirmed once payment is taken; card payments are handled securely by Stripe. Pay-at-the-clinic bookings are confirmed straight away and you pay on the day. If you pay by bank transfer, the £25 blood draw fee is a non-refundable deposit that holds your time. It must reach us by the deadline shown when you book, or the booking is cancelled and the time released. The price of your tests is then paid by bank transfer when you arrive. If you cannot pay when you arrive, the session is cancelled, the deposit is not refunded and you will need to rebook. If bank transfers go unpaid or clinic appointments are missed, we may ask you to pay by card to book online. The price shown when you book is the price charged. Extra tests added to the same appointment are discounted as shown. You can also book by phone on 01702 714888.
  • Cancellations: use the link in your confirmation email or call us. Cancellations made with enough notice are refunded in full, to your card for card payments, or by the clinic for other payments; late cancellations are reviewed by the clinic. The current notice period is shown on the cancellation page. A blood draw deposit paid by bank transfer is not refunded if you cancel or do not attend.
  • If you can’t make an appointment, please give us as much notice as you can so the time can go to someone else.

Results & turnaround

Most doctor-reviewed reports are returned within 5–7 working days of your sample reaching the laboratory. Occasionally a laboratory may need longer or request a repeat sample; we’ll always keep you informed.
