The vitamins that keep you well
Vitamins
Vitamins work quietly in the background, and it is often only when levels dip that you notice their absence — in flagging energy, a lowered immune defence, or a dulled mood. This panel measures the vitamins most likely to run low: vitamin D, the active B vitamins, and vitamin A with beta carotene, its plant-derived precursor.
Deficiencies are common and easily missed, particularly through the darker Essex winters when vitamin D naturally falls, or where diet is restricted. The B vitamins support energy and the nervous system, vitamin A underpins vision and immunity, and knowing where you stand makes it far easier to correct any shortfall with confidence.
Your sample is a single venous draw taken in our private Leigh-on-Sea clinic and analysed by an accredited UK laboratory, with a doctor’s report explaining your levels. Rather than guessing which supplement you might need, you will have a clear, measured picture to act on, and to discuss with your GP or pharmacist if a shortfall shows up.
Preparation: No fasting is required. If you take vitamin supplements, consider pausing them for 24 hours beforehand so your results reflect your everyday levels rather than a recent dose. Note any supplements you take regularly for your report.

About this test
It measures vitamin D, vitamin A and beta carotene, plus the key B vitamins: B1, B2, B6, folate (B9) and active B12. These are the ones most prone to falling short and most closely tied to energy, mood and immunity.
Pausing vitamin supplements for around 24 hours before your draw gives a truer sense of your baseline. There is no need to change your diet; just note what you usually take so your report can account for it.
Your doctor-reviewed report is usually ready within 5–7 working days of your sample reaching the laboratory.
