A clear, quantitative answer

Pregnancy

£79+ £25 blood draw per visit, however many tests you book1 biomarkerResults in 5–7 working days

People take a pregnancy blood test for all sorts of reasons, and this one is designed to give a clear, precise answer. A quantitative beta-hCG measures the exact level of human chorionic gonadotropin, the hormone your body produces in pregnancy, in your blood. Because it reads the precise amount rather than a simple positive or negative, it offers both confirmation and useful detail.

Because beta-hCG appears soon after conception, this is a sensitive option for early confirmation. Your sample is a single venous draw taken in our private Leigh-on-Sea clinic and analysed by an accredited UK laboratory, with your result reviewed and explained in a doctor’s report.

If you would like support interpreting your result, or are testing in particular circumstances, your report is written in clear, warm language, and any next steps are best discussed with your GP or midwife. The aim here is a clear, dependable answer, explained with care and without assumptions.

Preparation: No fasting or special preparation is required. For the most reliable result, test no earlier than 10 to 11 days after conception, once beta-hCG has had time to rise.

About this test

  • This is a quantitative blood test, measuring the exact level of beta-hCG rather than giving a simple positive or negative. It can detect pregnancy early and provides a precise figure in your report.

  • Beta-hCG is reliably detectable from around 10 to 11 days after conception. Testing within that window gives the most dependable result.

  • Your result is returned as a doctor-reviewed report within 5–7 working days of your sample reaching the laboratory.
