A precise account of metals and minerals
Trace Metal
Metals sit on a spectrum. Some, like zinc, copper and magnesium, are essential in the right amounts; others, like lead, mercury and cadmium, are best avoided altogether. This panel measures twelve of them, giving a detailed account of both the elements your body needs and the ones it does not, in more depth than standard tests offer.
It can be worth considering if you have occupational or environmental exposure, unexplained symptoms that routine checks haven’t resolved, or want a thorough view of your mineral status. Deficiencies and excesses can both affect energy, nerves, bones and general wellbeing, and seeing them side by side helps make sense of a complex picture.
Your sample is a single venous draw taken in our private Leigh-on-Sea clinic and analysed by an accredited UK laboratory, with a detailed doctor-reviewed report. Because certain foods and supplements can skew the readings, a little preparation beforehand improves the accuracy of your results.
Preparation: Avoid seafood and shellfish for 48 hours before your draw, and pause mineral or multivitamin supplements for 24 hours, as both can temporarily raise certain readings. No fasting is otherwise required. Note any known exposures for your report.

About this test
Fish and shellfish can temporarily raise levels of metals such as mercury, which may cloud your true baseline. Avoiding them for 48 hours helps ensure your results reflect your everyday exposure.
Yes. It measures essential minerals like zinc, copper and magnesium alongside toxic metals such as lead and mercury, so you can see both what your body may lack and what it may be carrying too much of.
This is a detailed panel, and your doctor-reviewed report is typically ready within 5–7 working days of your sample reaching the laboratory.
